I just had a black swallowtail butterfly hatch. I-m afraid that when it tries to fly it will be messed up because it may have to drop a little and that may cause it to hit some leaves that are under it. what should i do?

Wait until the butterfly wings have time to dry before you try and move it. Then put it on your finger (hold your index finger under its legs and it will climb on) and bring it to a flower or plant and let it climb onto it. It will fly when it is ready.
